New Financial Director at Scholz Recycling
Martin Simon, a proven businessman from the SME sector, as of 02 July 2019 takes on the position of Chief Financial Officer at Scholz Recycling which has not been vacant until recently. Thanks to his experience, Simon also provides important knowledge from the capital market, which is ideal for an international group with a listed parent company.
“Martin Simon has the expertise and the quality to perform his duties as Chief Financial Officer at Scholz in the best possible way,” Henry Qin and Dr. Klaus Hauschulte agree. For the managing directors of the parent company Chiho Environmental Group (CEG) and the Scholz Group, the Kiel-born is the ideal choice. Simon, who was previously Chief Financial Officer at the SHW AG in Aalen, is also operationally experienced. From his additional management positions in personnel, IT and sales, he can optimally support the further development of the Scholz Group.
In addition, Simon is to play an important linking role between the capital market requirements of the parent company and the regional supplier and sales business. “We see him as a man of trust, but also as a result-oriented business partner,” says CEG boss Qin. The designated CFO himself is pleased, “Appreciation and added value quickly have an effect on small and medium-sized businesses. Together with an international presence, this is an exciting field”. Martin Simon, who has been abroad several times, knows the markets and mentalities in Europe, America and Asia – regions in which Scholz has been active for years and continues to grow. Moreover, his experience in China will make it easier for him to quickly familiarize with the company.
As a member of the management board, Simon will also support the reorientation and consolidation that Scholz aims to achieve by 2022. The Scholz Recycling GmbH, with operations on three continents, intends to better and more effectively network its more than 50 active participations. The first changes in the structure had already been initiated last year, “nonetheless I am pleased that Martin Simon is keen to make active use of his role in our company,” said Dr. Hauschulte with a forward-looking perspective. “Recycling is an active way of supporting environmental protection and safeguard economic strengths sustainably.”
